I studied at Derby University from 2003-2006 where I achieved a BA(hons) in Popular Music Production and Sports Studies.

The musical elements of my degree involved theory, performance in a group and solo context, knowledge of the music industry and using a recording studio for the production of a cd.

The sports part of my degree saw anatomy and physiology along with various mechanisms involved in movement and for sports, nutrition, coaching children, elite performers and disabled performers, various safety issues involved with sports and finally my thesis on the effects of caffeine on the reaction times of cricketers.

This gave me a foundation of knowledge to progress to a Masters degree at Chester University where I have recently completed my studies. This was an MSc in Exercise and Nutrition Science.

During my studies I still had a few jobs(!) although not as many as before, there was far more work involved studying for the MSc. This also reduced my availability for concerts during 2006 and 2007. August 2007 saw me travelling to Canada to collect data for my Masters thesis; a nutritional case study on 2 guys cycling across the Rockies to raise money for the Macmillan fund, in a race called the TransRockies challenge. Please have a look at their website - www.transrockies.co.uk to see how they fared.

In February 2009 Andy and myself got married, the weather was fantastic, the best day of the year so far. The venue was Makeney Hall, near Belper and the small daytime meal was followed by a 'Winter Wonderland' evening theme, superbly set up by Event Heydays. The Honeymoon saw us, along with 11 friends, take a skiing trip to Banff, Canada and we had 10 days of great weather and plenty of snow.

Before you leave why not take a look at the hidden page? A very kind person edited one of my pictures. The link is under the first dot on the contents page...
